Pat Kaufman Inducted Into Maryland Golf Hall of Fame
On April 11th, Mount Vernon’s Pat Kaufman was inducted into the Maryland Golf Hall of Fame. Pat led the WDCGA as President from 2001 to 2002 and is widely recognized as one of the greatest advocates and trailblazers of women’s golf in Maryland. Her leadership as Chairman of the Committee on Maryland Women’s Golf led to the 1995 creation of the Maryland State Golf Association Women’s Division, of which she served as President for four years. She has been a member of the USGA Executive Committee and USGA Rules Committee, and chaired the Women’s Mid-Amateur and Senior Amateur Championships. Pat served as a rules official at the Curtis Cup and The Masters. In 2004 she was awarded the WDCGA’s highest honor, the Sharon Briggs Award for Distinguished Service, and today is still a loyal sponsor of the WDCGA’s Kaufman Cup, held every August. In addition to this latest recognition by the MSGA, Pat is also a member of the Middle Atlantic Golf Association Hall of Fame. Congratulations Pat- we are so honored that you are a part of the WDCGA!
Congratulations Shawn!
